United States Secret Service (USSS) was established on July 5 1865. President Lincoln firstly founded the Service on April 14 1865 with the agenda of stoping the rapidly growing counterfeit at the time. The Secret Service is mandated by Congress with two distinct and critical national security missions: protecting the nation’s leaders and safeguarding the financial and critical infrastructure of the United States.
